Biography: MARIO VIDOR was born in 1948 in Farra di Soligo (Treviso). After his first pictorial experiences in the Eighties, he focused on photography.

Since 1982 he developed his own research in two directions, starting from the teaching of last century's masters of image: historical-scientific research and creative language.

After the publication of his first work "Sulle terre dei Longobardi" (1989), many other volumes of photography and some singular photolithographic portfolios have followed. In September 1992 in Pontremoli he was awarded the Bancarella Prize for "Semplicemente Italia". Other awards worth mentioning are: Best Venetian photography, Padua (1996), the "Carlo Goldoni" Award and the "Territorio Odissea 2000" Award (1998) in Macerata for the book "Le torri di Babele" and, in march 2002, in Orvieto (TR), he won the first prize in the category "Creative Photography" with the book "Pagine Bianche", in May 2003 in Garda (VR) he received the Italian Photography Award from the FIAF (Italian Federation of Photographers' Associations) and in 2014 the A.F.I. Photography Award and in 2018 I.F.I. Photography Award.


He has held over 290 personal exhibitions all over Italy and in France, Germany, U.S.A., People's Republic of China, Croatia, Austria, Slovenia, Canada, Russia, some of which are: Frame O'Rama, New York(USA); Sicof Cultura, Milan (I); International Photography Exhibition, Paris (F); Samara Art Museum, Samara (RU); Il Diaframma, Milan (I); Auditorium Monteverdi, Marghera (VE); Croatian museums of Iabin, Rijeka, Buzet, Rovinj and Zagreb; Photokina, Cologne (D); International Centre of Contemporary Art, Beijing (China); Italian-German Cultural Association, Venice (I); Fondazione Querini Stampalia, Venice (I); Spazio Olivetti, Venice (I); Charles Scott Gallery Emilicars Institute of art and design, Vancouver (CA); Wagner Museum, Bayreuth (D); Ukrainian museums of Vinnitsya, Tulchyn, Ladyzhyn; and Arles (F) during the Mois de la Photographie Galerie du Crédit Mutuel. For this sale, in addition to the white border on the print, we have inserted a neutral cardboard in the background, while next to the print we inserted a pencil with two distinct colours to be very precise.
