The book offered here is the very hard to find collector's edition. Housed in its own slipcase and made to resemble the type of wizarding textbook found in the Hogwarts school library. This Special Collector's Edition includes metal corners, clasp, and skull! There is also a reproduction of J.K. Rowling's handwritten introduction plus commentary on each of the tales by Professor Albus Dumbledore himself, as well as 10 additional illustrations not found in the standard UK & US editions or the original! Plus many more exciting extras. This special collectors' edition closely resembles the original book purchased at auction for almost 2 million pounds and is without doubt just about the finest addition money can buy to any Harry Potter collection.

The casing is bright and clean, just a couple of small chips to the top edges of the head of the casing and a small scuff to the rear bottom edge, (see pictures) of the casing, and prints are all in as new condition. The white sleeve has some scuffs and a bar code label to the front.


In December 2007, J.K. Rowling unveiled her handwritten book The Tales of Beedle the Bard, a very special book of five fairy tales illustrated by the bard herself. Only a handful of books were produced, with all but one going to friends & family. The 'Final' book was sold at auction, with proceeds of almost 2 million Pounds GB (way over the £50,000 estimate) going to charity. It was widely reported at the time that no further printings would ever be available.
