Springbank 1992 Dà Mhìle 7 Year Old Organic

This Springbank was distilled in June 1992 and matured in sherry casks for 7 years. It was bottled for Dà Mhìle Distillery in September 1999 in celebration of the new millenium, and is acknowledged as the world's first organic whisky approved by The Soil Association.

Dà Mhìle Distillery are an organic distillery based on the Glynhynod Farm in Ceredigion on the West coast of Wales. Founder John Savage-Onstwedder first set out in 1992 to create the world's first organic whisky, enlisting the help of the famed Springbank distillery. In 2012, after a multitude of organic whisky firsts, the farm began producing their own organic spirit. The distillery now produces their own organic whisky, gin, rum and other fine spirits, alongside their independent bottlings.
