A very RARE set of two booksm second edition with addictions written by Philip Thicknesse...."A Year's Journey Through France, and Part of Spain." 2nd edition, London, 1778. Collated and complete in two volumes: xix, 352pp.; [4], 316pp. + 10 engraved plates + 3 leaves of music scores as called for. Firm leather bindings with rebacked spines and some wear, edges and joints rubbed, corners bumped. Repaired tear to large folding plate. Generally clean interior with handwritten name to front pastedown of each volume, offsetting to pages opposite to plates, age-toning to endpapers, light stains but text readable-see photos as part of description. SCARCE set. Uncommon and very interesting. RARE to find complete, we find on market many set incomplete!!!!
