Description:

An exquisite blue and white porcelain plate or dish, from the Chinese Kangxi Period, a golden age for blue and white ceramics.

Moulded lobed form with a scalloped rim, “Kraak style”.

Painted in the central well with a rare scene of the “friends of winter” and two birds.
The cavetto radiating with panels of seasonal flowers.

The reverse with flower branches and the base with a Buddhist symbol within a double circle.

Incredible quality, typical of this period.
