Extra-large hand carved wooden Fudō Myōō ryūzō 不動明王立像 (Standing Fudō Myōō) - Statue Holz - Japan

Extra-large wooden sculptured statue of Fudōmyōō with a height of 70 centimeters, very finely carved with meticulous details. Excellent craftsmanship for a Japanese wooden sculptured statue of Fudōmyōō不動明王立像 with gold gilded treatment. There are seven buns on the top, braided hair hanging down on the left shoulder, left eye narrowly closed, lower teeth biting the upper lip, showing an angry look, carrying fierce fire on the back, holding a sharp sword in the right hand and a rope in the left hand, as if to cut off troubles. The Bodhisattva Acalanatha, whose Sanskrit name is Acalanatha, means the Immovable Lord or the Immovable Lord. Tantra is called the "Acalanatha King", also known as the Immovable Messenger. "Immovable" refers to the solid and unshakable compassion; "Myō" refers to the light of wisdom; "King" refers to the one who controls all phenomena. Fudo Myoyo is the first of the eight great kings of Buddhism and Esoteric Buddhism. He has the reputation of being able to clear away obstacles and not waver when encountering any difficulties. The angry image of King Fudo appears to make the evil spirits that invade all living beings fear and stay away, so that all living beings will not waver in their good thoughts and bodhicitta on the path of practice. Dimensions: 70 x 21 x 30 cm Good condition, there signs of wear from aging and using, please also take a look at the listed photos for a reference. Will be well packaged and shipping by Japan Post in fast delivery.
