DESCRIPTION
Approximately 150 years, wine has been produced on this property but only from 1988 onwards, its current owner, Julius Bastos, begins commercialization at the national and international level of the wines then produced in this Farm, the famous 1985, 1986 and 1987 Earth Winds , which have always been recognized for their great quality.
In 1992, Julius Bastos, intending to secure its growth while at the same time the flow of production, sells 50% of the Fifth Carmo Agricultural Society to the Domaines Barons of Rothschild (Lafite). It is at that time that the former winery is transferred from the Farm of Dona Maria or Farm of Carm to the Oaking Estate, which, from that date came to belong to the Company.
Never having stopped thinking about making his own wine again, it was in the entrance of the new millennium that this opportunity came up. Julio Bastos then decides to sell his stake in the Fifth Carmo Agricultural Society, and starts this new project again, the Dona Maria wines.
In 2003 you make the first vintage of a new step in the long life of this Farm, whose concept, is the production of quality wines coupled with a family project, which has always distinguished this property over the ages.

WINE VARIETIES: Touriga Nacional (100%).

VINIFICATION
Aged 12 months in new French oak barrels. After bottling, the wine aged at least 6 months in the bottle.

TASTING NOTES
A clear wine with a deep, volatile color. It has a rich aroma of bergamot combined with violets. The flavor is silky, broad, balanced, with good acidity. The finish is persistent with round tannins.

SERVING
It goes well with red and white meats and cheeses. Store in a horizontal position, in a cool and dry place, protected from light and temperature fluctuations. Serve at a temperature between 16ºC and 18ºC. Consume in moderation.
