Made with 90% Sangiovese with small percentages of Colorino and Merlot, the first wine officially called Chianti Classico dell’Aiola was created in 1947, although red wines of Sangiovese all’Aiola had been made for centuries before.
-Grapes: Black grape variety (mainly Sangiovese)
-Aging: 12 months in large barrels and steel vats.
-Refinement: 3 months in bottle.
-Color: Deep ruby red.
-Bouquet: Fresh and lively, with notes of marasca cherry and pomegranate, and nuances of violets and
spices.
-Taste: The palate is soft, balanced, with fine tannins and a long and harmonious aftertaste.
