Production is limited to 100 sold out and highly coveted cases.
For the production of Arzuaga Reserva, grapes from vineyards more than 80 years old in the province of Burgos are used, along with a small percentage of vineyards of the province of Valladolid, in order to combine the structure and complexity of the old vineyards with the freshness and liveliness of the younger vineyards, although cultivated in a traditional way.
Characteristics of Arzuaga Reserve
Arzuaga Reserva is a red wine made by Bodegas Arzuaga Navarro in the D.O. Ribera del Duero.
It is a coupage of the fine red varieties with a small proportion of merlot and cabernet sauvignon, from old vineyards of the "La Planta" farm, on which the winery is located.
It is a farm of clay-limestone soils with limestone rock less than a meter deep. This type of soil along with the harsh Castilian climate at an altitude of 900 meters, yields a low production but a high concentration in the grapes.
The harvest is done manually in boxes of 15 Kg. After going through a selection table, part of the grape is despiled and incubated in wooden deposits together with the rest of the grape without peeling. There they are kept cold for a few days until the alcoholic fermentation is carried out at a temperature of 29ºC.
Arzuaga Reserva has an aging of 30 months in French oak barrels and a little American oak.

No ha mandado el vino.
No compren, les puede pasar lo mismo.
No soy el único.
Unserious seller. He didn’t deliver the order. Such kind of seller must be banned. The lot was on auction again few days after I win the auction. Disgusting behaviour.
Leider sehr schlecht verschickt. Wenn man so verpackt ist klar dass der Inhalt respektive die Schachtel kaputt gehen muss. Sehr laienhaft. Aber immerhin sind die Falschen ganz. Schade.
