"North and South" - first Folio Society edition, first printing, published in 2003, introduced by Jenny Uglow and illustrated by Alexy Pendle. It is printed on Caxton wove paper, with colour frontispiece and nine black and white illustrations. It is bound in full cloth printed with a design by Frances Button.

The book depicts the differences between the north of England and the south of England, both geographically as well as through its characters, and presents a nuanced view of both the rich and poorer classes.

The book has 436 pages. Its dimensions are - without slipcase: height 24 cm, length 16.3 cm, width: 4 cm; with slipcase on: height 25 cm, length 17 cm, width: 4.4 cm.

The book is virtually unopened, in mint, pristine condition without any faults at view. It is unread, it has no wear to the cover and no wear to pages. It completely maintains the very high standard levels of Folio Society publications.
