Here is a fine quality antique American Edwardian solid oak revolving office armchair by Heywood Brothers & Wakefield Co., circa 1910, which is in excellent condition. The armchair features a comfortable curved bar back, connected to wrap around arms, supported by an elegant vertical fan back. The chair incorporates a revolving mechanism and it rotates 360 degrees; the seat height can be adjusted by first unlocking the mechanism by releasing a vertical latch at the base of the mechanism and then turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair. The latch can then be locked down again, which prevents accidental raising or lowering of the seat height. The mechanism also features a reclining action, the tension of which can be adjusted by turning a small wheel at the rear of the mechanism. . The chair frame is sturdy and the item is extremely comfortable to .
For transport it comes in to 2 parts and it will be packed securely and shipped with trac and trace
