Tudor - Small Rose - 12856 - Herren - 1950-1959

Here is an opportunity not to be missed: A mid-sized 9ct yellow gold manually wound centre seconds wristwatch with textured dial… This mid-sized wristwatch has a handsome textured dial with raised Arabic and triangular numerals. The classic 9ct yellow gold case was made for Rolex by the Dennison case company and is a Dennison Ref. 12856. Manually wound the movement is a Tudor finished AS 1187/94 which is in lovely condition. Below is a catalogue entry from a 1954 Rolex catalogue, the right hand page shows two gold models, to the left a cushion cased Tudor with similar ‘honeycomb’ textured dial to the present watch and to the right a similarly styled circular cased version.
