The Pinot Noir “Primus” from Bodegas Salentein is an Argentine version of the famous Burgundian vine, which comes from a selection of the best grapes from the most suitable plots of the estate, which, thanks to slightly different and complementary soil and climate characteristics, manage to give life to a wine harmonious and elegant. The typical varietal aromas are characterized by the austere freshness of the altitude and the mineral flavor of the terroir. An expression of Pinot Noir of excellent quality, destined to satisfy the palate of the most curious enthusiasts and great connoisseurs of Burgundy reds. “Primus” is a New World Pinot Noir, which is produced in the Mendoza area, where Bodegas Salentein manages an estate of approximately 50 hectares, located high up, at the foot of the peaks of the Andean chain. The climate is characterized by strong temperature variations between hot, sunny days and cold nights. In these particular conditions, the grapes ripen slowly with a particularly intense aromatic profile and retaining notable freshness. This is how wines of great elegance are born, which express very well the character of a unique terroir in the world. The grapes come from vineyards that are approximately 15 years old located in the Uco Valley, at an altitude between 1000 and 1700 meters above sea level. At the end of the harvest, spontaneous fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, with maceration on the skins.
