On auction this rare Ricoh TLS 104 .The rarity is that it has a waist level finder on top by shifting the plastic cover on top and turning the dial on the right side of the prism cover . The camera is working at all speeds , just as the selftimer The lightmeter needle is moving sometimes , new batteries are placed , but not sure if the meter works as it should .The lens is in good condition , and looks clear with no scratches on the glass or haze inside, just some minor dust , which is normal for these older lenses , only visable under a strong light . Please see all pictures as they are part of the description. Some info found on the internet : The Ricoh TLS 401 is a 1960s 35mm SLR camera with historical significance. Rikenon 50mm lens with apertures from ƒ/1.7 to ƒ/16, and a metal vertical focal plane shutter. The camera’s pentamirror viewfinder having a combined eye-level and waist-level finder. This redirection of the light path is accomplished by an articulating mirror within a plastic Pentamirror rather than a traditional glass prism. Selection of either is by twisting a knob on the right-hand side of the finder housing. The vertical finder window has a removable black plastic cover, which, if turned the other way round as the practical minded will discover, may sit on permanently and just slide towards the accessory shoe when not needed. impacts brightness, and the light meter features spot and average metering. The self-timer and shutter speed/film speed selector dial offer versatility, and the M42 lens mount and unique film gate round out its features.
