Laphroaig 30 Year Old Ian Hunter Story Book 2 is an age-statement Islay single malt whisky produced at the Laphroaig Distillery on the isle of Islay. This collectible 30-year-old peated whisky is the second in a series that commemorates Ian Hunter, the last member of the Johnston family to own the Laphroaig Distillery. Matured in Spanish oak oloroso Sherry casks, this smooth, smoky dram displays notes of manuka honey, caramelised apple, vanilla, dried herbs and black pepper added to Laphroaig`s signature peaty character

“After 30 years in a sherry cask, this whisky is decidedly dark, almost coffee brown in color. Intensely nutty on the nose, it comes across with more of a Pedro Ximenez character than oloroso, immersive and rich with notes of black tea, some pepper, and the essence of Indiana Jones’s leather jacket.”
