Imperial Order of Saint Prince Vladimir, 3rd Class.
Imperial Russia "Order of St. Vladimir" neck badge, black and red enamel Maltese cross with what should be 2 crossed swords; the center bezel has an enameled cloak and crown in the front and "22" over "1782" and Cyrillic lettering on the back. Stamped with "AK" maker's hallmark. On the loop one can make out a “6” from the stamp- leading to believe it’s a 56 gold stamp- usual for this medallion.
Fair condition. See pictures for personal assessment. The right hand swords are missing and has a small hairline crack in the emblem. Otherwise in good condition.
The Imperial Order of Saint Prince Vladimir (Russian: орден Святого Владимира) was an Imperial Russian order established on 3 October [O.S. 22 September] 1782 by Empress Catherine II in memory of the deeds of Saint Vladimir, the Grand Prince and the Baptizer of the Kievan Rus'.
