One of the original set of Family cask releases from the Glenfarclas range of rare and old single cask releases that go all the way back to whisky distilled in 1952 and first released in 2007. Distilled 22/9/1967 Bottled 28/11/2006 Aged for 39 years in a single Sherry Hogshead Only 181 bottles released at natural cask strength 58. 5% ABV Dark amber gold, a complex full bodied Glenfarclas. Intense aromas rich tones of liquorice, cinnamon, raisins, vanilla and honey and a hint of peat smoke. Also some earthy undertones present. Sweet layer of honey, caramel and toffee. Gloriously smooth, smoky and a long lasting finish. A whisky that has aged very well.
