To celebrate the 55th edition of ‘’Les Rencontres d’Arles’’ - we have gathered 110 books (55 each).
"Paris has always been a hotbed of creative activity. From the 1920s to the 1950s, the avant-gardes laid the foundations for a protean photographic modernity. Quite naturally, Paris became the cradle of an exceptional publishing activity: the production of photography books in and around the capital followed this craze and produced some of the most important works in the history of photography. It is around this golden age of photography that Christian Bouqueret has decided to present the finest jewels in the crown of publishing, many of them unobtainable works by the greatest photographers: Laure Albin Guillot, Hans Bellmer, Brassaï, Claude Cahun, Robert Doisneau, Germaine Krull, Roger Parry, Man Ray, etc. For more than three decades, photography books in France have reflected the rich diversity of photographic production and supported research into the silver medium as well as graphic design, typography and page layout."
