Hand painted Russian icon Saint Cosmas and Damian Two Silverless.

The icon of the two brothers is believed to be healing and miraculous.
It is hand painted.

The condition is very good for the age of the object.

St. penniless Cosmas and Damian the Wonderworker are brothers from Assyria. Their mother Theodotia, a Christian, established them in the Christian virtues and was later canonized.

Both brothers studied the healing properties of various herbs and became known as healers. The Lord Jesus endowed them with a miraculous healing power: they healed both people and cattle for free. Later, a temple was built over their graves, in which miracles were performed with their heavenly intercession.

Having studied the art of healing, these holy brothers successfully treated all kinds of diseases and in everything they were helped by the grace of God himself. Whatever sick people or animals they come across, they immediately recover completely. These skilled healers did not take money from anyone for treatment, which is why they were called "moneyless". They wanted only one priceless reward from the healed - faith in Christ. And indeed, they converted many to Christ, not only in Rome, but also in the surrounding towns and villages, which they visited to heal the sick.

In addition to the grace of healing, they favored people with generous alms. They had great wealth gathered by their ancestors and received from their parents, which they sold, distributed to the poor and needy; feed the hungry, clothe the naked; in short, they showed mercy to all the poor and needy.

When dealing with the poor, they were usually told:

- We only lay hands on you and can do nothing in our own strength, but everything is done by the almighty power of the One True God and the Lord Jesus Christ; if you believe in Him and do not doubt, you will be healed immediately.

And they, believing, were indeed healed.

Thus every day many people, turning away from idolatrous wickedness, joined Christ.

Hello Teresa! Thank you for the feedback! I'm sorry to hear that you had problems with the delivery and specifically with one of the icons. Can you provide a photo of the damaged one? I also understand your concerns about shipping and in particular combining two icons in one package. I believe that in the private message I sent you with detailed information, you will be convinced that there is no abuse. Sincerely: Ivo

the icon should have been protected better. the newspaper remained stuck to the painting and was difficult to remove. in the end, everything was fine
