Jean Gaumy - Men at Sea (Pleine Mer) - 2002

Over 14 years, between 1984 and 1998, Magnum photographer Jean Gaumy documented the fierce conditions of the commercial fishermen who worked on open-deck trawlers, capturing the harsh reality of life at sea. The resulting book is an outstanding example of documentary photography at its very finest.
