98 points - Robert Parker
97 points - James Suckling
95 points - Vinous

Suckling: Pretty aromas of plum, blueberry, rose hip, lavender, sandalwood and oyster shell. It’s medium-to full-bodied with silky, seamless tannins. So pure and elegant with gorgeous layers of cool blue fruit. Saline and coffee notes, too. Long and evolving. Drink or hold.

Robert Parker: The 2017 Gran Enemigo Gualtallary Single Vineyard didn't show any heat or excess ripeness from a warm and dry year. On the contrary, it's austere and has citrus acidity, with great freshness and minerality. The palate is super austere with vibrant acidity—by far the highest among the Gran Enemigo bottlings—and very fine, chalky tannins. This is remarkable, serious, balanced and fresh with a very, very long and salty finish. This fermented in barrels with 100% full clusters and indigenous yeasts and matured in centenary oak foudres for 15 months.

El Gran Enemigo Gualtallary
Intense Cabernet Franc dominated wine from high-altitude vineyards in Gualtallary i Tupungato in Mendoza's Uco Valley wine region, over 1000 metres above sea level. The grapes are picked at 7 different times to achieve the perfect ripeness. The wine ages for 7 months in oak barrels. The vinification is also similar to the technique used for the famous French Cru Classé wine from Bordeaux. The wine has an intense dark colour, almost purple at the edges, a big bouquet of ripe black berries and a touch of spice, a complex flavour with great fullness that finishes soft and fruity. Alejandro Virgil himself calls it a "mini Cheval Blanc". The wine has several times obtained 100 Points from Parker and Suckling.

All the bottles sold are maintained in perfect conditions, in our temperature controlled cellar in horizontal position and in absence of light. The conditions are always perfect!

Die Ware wurde nicht an meine Adresse, sondern an eine Hermes Station geliefert, die mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln nicht gut zu erreichen ist. Bitte zukünftig mit dem Käufer besser abstimmen.

Sorry. I find your rating unreasonable. Hermes is a large German carrier and normally Catawiki users compliment and appreciate that the packages are collected in a nearby store

Very fast getting the order on the way and excelent packing. Thx.en
