2022 Le Volte:
“Le Volte” by Tenuta dell'Ornellaia is a red made from a careful blend of international and native vines. Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon are meticulously selected during the harvest and vinified separately in small steel tanks, carrying out both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. Then we proceed with the refinement, which takes place both in used barriques and in concrete tanks, and which lasts for 10 months.
“Le Volte” is a label produced by Tenuta dell'Ornellaia which is striking right from the color in the glass, characterized by a beautiful, particularly intense ruby ​​red. The olfactory spectrum is structured around notes of wild berries, interspersed with floral aromas and sweet spices, resulting from aging in wood. On the palate it is full-bodied, characterized by great softness and roundness which make the drinking experience incredibly soft and smooth. A red to drink immediately or to keep in the cellar for a few more years, to be able to taste it in a more evolved and mature version: in both cases it will not disappoint you.
