The distillery manager for this Smoketrails was Colin Gordon.

With an authentic smokiness and an alcohol content of 46% vol., this bottle impressively represents the essence of Scotland. In Ardbeg Smoketrails Côte Rôtie, grilled artichoke, paprika and olive brine provide a spicy top note. A touch of water brings out the sweetness of barley malt and a subtle note of camphor herb. Carbolic soap leads to a delicate fruitiness of smoked cranberry and blackcurrant. This sweetness continues in dark chocolate and soft fondant. The salty note is revealed in a mixture of crispy bacon rind, tar and wood smoke.
