VINIFICATION The harvest date for each plot is decided after successive grape tastings in the field. After the decision has been made, the grapes are harvested manually and transported to the winemaking center, separated according to variety and plot. This is followed by cold maceration of the whole bunch for a period of approximately 24 hours. The fresh grapes are gently pressed and the must is transferred to underground vats, where decantation takes place. This is followed by adjusting the turbidity of the must and fermentation begins. Around 90% of the wine ferments and ages in stainless steel vats and the remaining 10% in French and Austrian oak casks of different capacities. TASTING NOTES Clear and bright color, pale yellow with golden reflections. The aroma is very expressive dominated by tropical notes of pineapple and passion fruit. After a period of rest, more delicate aromas emerge, such as sweet flowers, apricot syrup, lemon zest and a light smoky touch. In the mouth it is light, but with a certain fat. The aromatic vivacity continues into a long, fresh finish. SERVING It can be drunk alone or as an aperitif. Duas Quintas White 2023 goes very well with any grilled fish or seafood dishes. As a suggestion, roast salmon with lemon and herb sauce and monkfish rice. Recommended tasting temperature between 10°C and 12°C.
