A fine collection of well-used West-African bronze jewelry. Different tribal bracelets and anklets are presented here. The two thin bracelts presented here are of Bobo-design (Burkina Faso) diam. 8-9-cm. The smaller bronze bracelet with the "knot" is also from Burkina Faso and was worn by tribes in this country. 7 cm. The brass anklet with the two large knobs was worn in Niger by a Fulani woman. height 7,5 cm. The bronze bracelet with the three ribs is decorated with circles on the top and on the ends. Worn by a Dogon in Mali. 6,5 cm. The very large bracelet with flat sides and decorated with 4 knobs comes from Burkina Faso and is of Bobo origin. A very special piece of jewelry! diam. 9,5 cm. Finally, the bracelet of a thin style and decorated with a rope-design and with two rope-knots on top is of Lobi origin and come from Burkina Faso. 6 x 8 cm. All items were collected in situ in the late 1990's.
