"A. Gutheil" is one of the largest music publishing houses in Russia, created by A.B. Gutheil in 1859 in Moscow. The office and the first music store were located on Kuznetsky Most. In 1876, A. Gutheil received the title of Supplier of the Court of His Imperial Majesty and Hereditary Honorary Citizen of Moscow. In 1882, the company was inherited by the eldest son K.A. Gutheil, who was one of the directors of the Moscow Philharmonic Society. In 1886, the company expanded significantly by acquiring the music publishing house F.T. Stellovsky. As a result of this, the company acquired the copyright to publish works (mainly operas) by M.I. Glinka, A.S. Dargomyzhsky, A.N. Verstovsky, A.N. Serova. Since the founding of the company, 12,000 works have been published
