The bouquet opens with notes of red apple and various spices before aromas of toffee apple, a woody spice and ripe cranberry appear. Fresh fruits and creamy vanilla are the first things that make themselves felt on the tongue of the single malt Scotch whisky. The woody, aromatic spice combined with a hint of cinnamon creates a delicious and complex range of flavors. The finish is mainly determined by the lingering vanilla, later also by the spices and the dark chocolate. If you add a little water to the Mortlach Six Kingdoms 15 Years, the fruity profile once again emphasizes the notes of green apple and green grape. This also makes the aromas softer, the woodiness gentler and the chocolate notes more pronounced.
