Lovely William IV Regency tea caddy in the shape of a sarcophagus raised on 4 brass bun feet with lion mask handles to the sides.

With two individual boxes with removable lids. The mixing bowl is Victorian cut-glass with etched fern sides and disc foot base. The interior of the lid is lined with dark pink velvet.

Lovely example of Georgian style with warm and deep patination to the precious wood.

Made in England, c. 1830’s.

1862 g
15 cm tall
30 x 15 cm across the top
28.5 x 13.5 cm across the base

Very good antique condition. Some surface cracks to the veneer and wear to velvet commensurate with age and use; missing one handle; damage to second handle.

Grazie
