Buddha Amitabha standing statue 阿弥陀如来立像 Amida Nyorai - Statue Træ, Guld lakeret - Japan (Ingen mindstepris)

This is a statue of Amida Nyorai (Amitabha Buddha). It is a unique ornament with a radiant halo at the back and vibrant color tones. Amida Nyorai (阿弥陀如来) is one of the principal Buddhas revered in Mahayana Buddhism. In Pure Land Buddhism, a branch of Mahayana Buddhism, faith in Amida is preached, whereby one can attain rebirth in the Pure Land through the recitation of the phrase "Namu Amida Butsu" (南無阿弥陀仏). Amida Nyorai is regarded as the ruler of the Pure Land, a Buddha land (paradise) located in the western direction. Also known as the Buddha of Infinite Light and Life, he is believed to possess boundless wisdom and an infinite lifespan, continually saving people. As the central figure in Pure Land Buddhism, Amida Nyorai is depicted in various mudras (hand gestures), such as the Mudra of Granting a Wish, Dharma Wheel Mudra (Teaching Mudra), Meditation Mudra, and Welcoming Gesture, unlike the Yakushi Nyorai statue. This faith in Amida Buddhism spread to Japan around the beginning of the 7th century and became popular during the Kamakura period, leading to the establishment of Pure Land sects such as Jodo Shu, Jodo Shinshu, and Ji sect. Height: 29.5 cm Width: 10.1 cm Depth: 7.4 cm Weight: 300 g Condition: The condition is generally good. There are traces of glue at the base of the halo. There is also some wobbling. There are traces of glue on the flower in the center of the halo. There are also small scratches, stains, and scuffs. This is a delicate item, so please handle with care. There is also a possibility that the adhesive surface may peel off. In that case, it will be repaired with glue. There are also many photos, so please take a look. Atention: The items listed for sale are all used collectibles. Please consider them to have signs of aging, such as stains, scratches, scuffs, tears, discoloration, fading, fraying, and changes in thread color. We will post as many photos as possible to make it easy to understand. As these are old items, we appreciate your understanding before making a purchase. Shipping: The lot will be carefully packaged and shipped from Japan. We will use either DHL or FedEx for a safe and secure transportation. It usually takes about 2-3 weeks for delivery, and the package will be shipped with a tracking number.
