A lovely antique Chinese stone carving, depicting a Finely carved Exceptional Head of Mythological Figure. On one side you can see her hand touching her hair. Lovely features like long earrings and hairdo. Executed in a nice greenish grey stone with natural coloring. Handcrafted in ancient China, possibly during the Song to Yuan dynasty (14th century), but could be earlier or slightly later. On the bottom a nicely sculpted base, showing age and material.
Provenance: Private Dutch Collection (Collected in the 1960's-1980's)
Height: 46,3 centimeter (including tailor made wooden stand)
Condition: The object is in good condition, minor wear and small blemishes (see pictures), without any restorations. The condition is carefully checked with strong UV-light and bright translucent white light.
