Château de Fargues, located in the Sauternes appellation, is a wine estate renowned for the exceptional quality of its wines. Founded in the 17th century, it is the property of the Lur Saluces family, who notably managed the famous Château d'Yquem for almost two centuries. The Château de Fargues terroir benefits from an ideal microclimate for growing grapes, in particular thanks to the presence of morning mists which favor the development of noble rot, or Botrytis cinerea.

The 1997 vintage is considered a remarkable year for Sauternes due to favorable climatic conditions. The harvest is carried out manually, allowing only the ripest berries to be selected. The wine has an intense golden color, a sign of its aromatic richness. On the nose, it reveals complex aromas of honey, apricot, and white flowers, accompanied by notes of candied fruit.
