A typical Glenfarclas Edition! The wonderful, fruity sherry fascinates me and triggers my predecessors for the next sip. A fine and great malt.
Nose
Wonderfully reddish amber, almost copper shimmers in the glass. Slight streaks stick to the glass wall when panning. The color whets the appetite for more. Dark chocolate and dark fruits dominate on the first nosing. Raisins, sweet fruit and a touch of leather complete the wonderful nose. The alcohol is discreetly integrated and stays pleasant in the background.
Taste
Wow, strong sherry pushes in the first sip in the foreground. A pleasant wooden aroma follows the sherry, espresso and again light leather dominate now. The aftertaste creates a fine nutty aroma.
Finish
In the finish again fruity sherry with a fine woody aroma. Chocolate and coffee stay cozy and long in the mouth. At the end there is still a nutty echo.
