This work is a paper box made from ukiyo-e.
It was originally made to house some kind of prop.
Normally, many of the items are in bad condition, like they're worn out, but this one has some holes, but it's in very good condition.
It also comes with accessories from the time.
A disciple of Utagawa Kunimasa, a person from Osaka, lives in Hoteicho. He is called Gosutei(五粽亭) and uses the seals of "Ranbu 蘭畦", "Konishi Gocho 小西五長", and "Hiro Sada 広貞". From the work, it is known that it was called Hirokuni before the 4th year of Koka (1847). His confirmed drawing period was from Koka 4 to Bunkyu 3 (1863), and he drew many medium format actors. His apprentice is Hirokane Utagawa (Sadahiro Teruotei).
