A beautiful set of 4 limited edition Christmas plates (1974, 1976, 1977 & 1978), designed by the famous Danish designer Bjorn Wiinblad for Rosenthal, Germany

These collectible plates are part of the series of annual commemorative Christmas plates designed by Wiinblad from 1971 to 1982 for Rosenthal.

They are made from fine porcelain, and the reverse sides have been stamped with the manufacturer's marks with hanging rings for wall mouting.

Bjørn Wiinblad (20 September 1918 – 8 June 2006), was a Danish painter, designer and artist in ceramics, silver, bronze, textiles, and graphics. His work has been shown widely in Europe, in the United States of America first in 1954 and in Japan, Australia and Canada in 1968. Wiinblad was named Man of the Year in New York in 1985 and was awarded the American-Scandinavian Foundation’s Cultural Prize in 1995.

The plates are in excellent conditions with no chips or cracks.
