A late 19th century chrysanthemum-shaped teapot decorated with a scene of two birds among chrysanthemum flowers in autumn colors. As the chrysanthemum is the flower or autumn. The other side has a four character poem:
秋色洁风 could be translate "Autumn colors and clear winds."
The poem is signed by Wang Zhang 汪章 and dated: 乙未夏月: "Summer of the year Yǐwèi. (1895)
Wang Zhang 汪章 courtesy name Hanyun, was a prominent painter during the Guangxu to early Republic period, known for his light-colored porcelain painting. His works spanned a wide range of subjects, including figures, flowers and birds, and landscapes. He once served as a painter for the imperial kiln. Unfortunately, due to the low status of artisans in the past, there are no records of his background, making his birthplace a mystery.

H8,3 x W14,5 (handle to spout) x W10 cm
Condition: Perfect condition! Only slight staining inside the teapot due to use.
Checked with strong UV light for defects.
