Akai - 4000DS MkII - 4 spor Reel to reel spolebånd 18 cm

Fully functional and well preserved AKAI tape recorder. The 4000DS II is known for its simple, but very robust build. The specimen for sale has been checked, repaired and adjusted by a specialist, so that it records and plays as it is supposed to.

The design with separate record and play heads secures a very good sound quality at 7-1/2 inch/s and quality tapes. Apparently the specimen has not been used much - the wear on the tone heads hardly visable. Change og speed between 3-3/4 inch/s and 7-1/2 inch/s takes place by placing or removing a metal bushing on the capstan shaft - simple but effective.

It will be delivered with 4 used prerecorded Maxell tapes - music by Bob Dylan, Lou Reed and Brahms. They can be played as they are or recorded with new music, and satisfactory result.

It will be well packed in a strong double double walled corrugated cardboard box appropriate stuffing. The unit itself is not fragile at all - thus damage during shipment should not occur.
