The historicity of Monvigliero makes it a highly sought-after vineyard among Barolo producers, certainly the maximum expression of elegance in the municipality of Verduno. As with Cerequio, here too the Vietti winery has produced its first label with the 2018 vintage, a few bottles but superb thanks to the vines of over 50 years in a south-east direction and the marl and sand soils. Carefully selected grapes that are vinified (60% whole bunch) in contact with the skins in steel tanks for four weeks always adopting the submerged cap method, while malolactic and refinement take place in oak barrels for 24 months. An excellent result for the delicacy that this Barolo takes on, fruity notes surrounded by spices that give more intensity, on the palate it reveals itself fresh and harmonious with deep acidity and silky tannins.
