Original green cloth boards with embossed illustrated detail in duotone on the front covers, and on the spines, ornate gilt and embossed lettering, resembling branches, on both front covers and spines, and blind embossed detail on the rear cover. Brilliant gilt page edges.

Condition
Firm and well bound volumes. Boards have slight wear with rubbing and bumping to corners. Some light marking to surfaces and crushing at spine ends. Internally the books are in very good condition. Moderate tanning to endpapers. Foxing and thumb marking present. Inner hinges are very good. All pages are tightly held at the gutter. The text and plates are clean and bright (Please see pictures).
