Aged for a minimum of 42 months in bottle racks in the old cellars of Haro before being marketed. This is a special selection made specifically to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the bodega (Centenary Edition 1890 - 1990). The presentation of this bottle is a tribute to the old wines of La Rioja Alta, emulating the old labels used before the creation of the current brands. Tasting notes: Medium-bodied brownish ruby colour, very light, reddish reflections, clean, orangey rim with hardly any differences with the meniscus. Medium intensity nose and a curious profile, halfway between a Viña Ardanza and a 904 gran reserva. Very classic and recognisable. There are notes of red fruit jam, dried orange peel, cocoa powder, morello cherry in liqueur and a background of old wood, varnish and vanilla. It continues to grow in intensity little by little, gaining in expression of Rioja classicism: cigar cava, roasted coffee, Russian birch, old leather, wet hair, horsehair, animal, pheasant. Serious and uncompromising. There is a good amount of tertiary aromas and a very elegant reduction (smoked, pepper, leafy notes) that gradually gain prominence until coming to the fore.
