“Free after Malevich, with Great Tit” (oil paint on thrash wood) The Paris-based artist Jos Verheugen is nowadays primarily known for his Mondrian transformations. In this “Free after Mondrian” series he adds figurative elements, birds and other animals in particular, to Mondrian’s ‘Neoplastic’ compositions, which creates a third dimension in these two-dimensional paintings. However, in an early phase of this project he also worked with geometric abstract compositions by Kazimir Malevich. Several of these “Free after Malevich”-works are now proposed for sale. The indicated dimensions include the frame. The item will be sent straight from the workplace of the artist to the buyer, the parcel includes an invoice (also document of authenticity).
