This is a very unusual and high quality Kokeshi doll, originating from the island of Okinawa in southern Japan. A beautiful lady in traditional Okinawa dress, with very colorful paintings of the local castle, flowers and dress. Inside three of more bells are hidden.. when moved the most amazing sounds arise! This Kokeshi is in very good condition, and seems to have not been used as a toy, but instead has been part of a private collection. There are not noticeable damages or scratches, it is as new.
