We offer a beautiful crystal bonbonnière by Val St. Lambert produced in Liége, model 'Annabella' in ruby red as mentioned in the 'Catalogue Val Saint-Lambert 1956'.
Hand-cut large model on 4 elegant feet
This large thick thick-walled model was designed using a special glass technique. The technique is called doubling. This is done as follows. Each piece is mouth-blown in clear crystal and after some resting time, the crystal is doubled with colored crystal. Afterward, the colored crystal is cut and then polished with a lava stone and linen cloth. This results in a high-quality piece with a beautiful sparkle.
The crystal contains approximately 33 to 40% lead content, which is much higher than the established quality minimum
This St. Lambert bonbonnière would make a wonderful addition to a fine collection of crystal art glass pieces, or on a high-end set table.
The crystal factory 'Val Saint Lambert' was founded in 1826 and grew into
the purveyor of the Belgian Royal House.
Close inspection shows one of the feet is glued. I didn't notice it at first when purchased, but the restoration needs a second touch because the glue is yellowish and could be done more precisely.
Furthermore no cracks, no chips, nor flee-bites.
Will be packaged safely and shipped insured.
