Postwar items commemorating the Japanese Navy during the war
◆Japanese Furoshiki
Size: 72×72 cm
Material: Nylon 40% ,rayon 60%
Manufacturer: Toray Industries, Inc. ( 東レ)
Year: 1972
In 1972, a ceremony was held on “Hario Island 針尾島” with prewar naval personnel. This is an item commemorating it.
"Hario Island” is located in the neighborhood of ‘Sasebo,’ which prospered as a military port in those days, and many naval facilities were built there in those days.
This “furoshiki” has the symbol of Japan, the “Rising Sun” on it.
This is old and a little damaged, but it is well preserved.
◆Cap
Size: 25×15×10 cm
It was preserved with the “furoshiki” mentioned above. It is expected that it was made after the war, but it is an old good item.
It is the same design as the caps used by the Navy during WWII.
Carefully packaged and shipped from Japan to overseas.
I have other rare items up for current auction,
so please check back.
