Gamle kinesiske Liao-dynastiet Terracotta Tablet Tsa-Tsa (Ingen mindstepris)
A beautiful ancient Chinese terracotta votive tablet known as tsa-tsa, made during the Liao dynasty circa 916-1125 CE. The sculpture depicts three very detailed Buddhas sitting on thrones with lotus flowers behind their back. Each character has been carved in a different and unique pose. Everything is enclosed in a great-looking triangular form.
Artifact has undergone a professional cleaning process to highlight beautiful details of each character at the same time, without removing all of the originally preserved earth sediments from its surface.
Tsa-tsa tablets are unique religious votive artifacts used to worship, enhance the importance and spiritual power of the temple. The tablets were buried or placed in reliquary chambers.
Very good condition - intact, well-preserved
