DESCRIPTION
Adega Cooperativa de Murça, CRL, founded in 1963 by a small group of winegrowers led by Francisco Abel Carneiro Lopes, has its headquarters in Vila de Murça. Integrated in the Douro Demarcated Region, today with 750 cooperators, its emblem is the well-known Porca de Murça, carved into a granite monolith, which reproduces a breeding male. It is a symbol of the region's fecundity and also of the belief and strength of the men who have cultivated vineyards there for thousands of years.
It produces wines with Douro Controlled Denomination of Origin under the brand “Caves de Murça”. The 800 hectares of vineyards, based on schist and quartzite soils protected to the west from the humid and temperate winds of the Atlantic and to the north of the cold and dry winds of Galicia, enjoy a Mediterranean climate characterized by hot, dry summers and mild, not too hot winters. rainy. These factors, influential in the typicality of the wines, combined with the strong commitment of winegrowers have consolidated the image of the municipality of Murça as a region producing great wines.

VINIFICATION
Coming from the distillation of bagasse in copper stills immediately after pressing. Long period of aging in wooden casks.

TASTING NOTES
Honey color, fragrant and penetrating pomace aroma, softened by the touch of wood. Light notes of spices. In the mouth it is full-bodied with an enveloping, velvety flavor and persistent finish.

SERVING
Serve at a temperature of 18ºC to 20ºC. It will be a good digestive at the end of the meal, accompanying the coffee and for smokers the right company of a cigarette, perfumed cigar or the best pipe tobacco. Consume in moderation.
