Vintage hexagonal mechanical pencil.
Yard-O-Led, made in London, England -- 1953 based on the "S" hallmark.
All the sterling in these pencils are hand hammered so there is some variance in size.
Filling System It takes 1.1mm leads which it extends via the twist mechanism.
Faceted sterling silver in a Barley design, with the distinctive flat head, sometimes used in Victorian times as a signature seal.
It also has tons of hallmarks.
It predates the individual numbering system and lacks the patent number that usually goes in the same location.
It comes with its own presentation box and leather pouch, as a befits a unique writing instrument of very highest quality.
