A very RARE and beautiful edition of Dante's Commedia published in 1965 by Aldo Martello. Edition published to celebrate the six hundredth anniversary of Dante's birth. In three volumes. 210, [1]p; 225, [2]pp; 240, [7]pp. Quarter brown morocco, spine with two raised bands, lettered and decorated in gold. Printed on Ventura paper. With more than one hundred illustrations by fifty contemporary Italian artists including Giorgio de Chirico, Renato Guttuso, Emilio Greco, Aligi Sassu, Carlo Carrà, Remo Brindisi, Massimo Campigli, Carlo Corsi, Carlo Guarienti assembled for a special Quadriennale exhibition in 1960. " Il testo della presente opera riproduce quello dell'edizione curata da Niccolo Tommaseo e pubblicata per i tipi di Francesco Pagnoni in Milano l'anno 1865".
