Original publisher's portfolio, a paper-covered salmon chemise (170 x 235 mm) with paper label, cloth spine and cloth ties with 24 loose plates (160 x 225 mm), monochrome reproduction photographs ("phototypies"), printed recto on thick paper, each with photographer's credit; as issued. Twelve introductory sheets (folded, loose) with title page and with seven pages text in French by Pierre Bost; as issued. Condition: Inside clean with no marks. Photo plates with marginal foxing (mostly the white paper around, NOT the photos, also at the top and bottom edges); otherwise flawless (no bumps, tears or creases). Text pages fresh and flawless, only one (second last) page marginally foxed. Outside the portfolio with trace of use; very small tear at the top of the spine, outside stronger, inside marginally foxed. Overall fine condition. Excellent, super rare portfolio - hard to find in any condition. Most photographers are represented by two images, the exceptions being M. Gravot, Chevojun and André Vigneau, represented by a single image.
