Glenfiddich is aged for 15 years in three types of Solera barrels: European sherry oak, bourbon and young oak. All three ingredients are then mixed in sherry vats. This method of blending different ingredients ensures the consistency of the whiskey from the individual bottling and adds special flavor layers to the drink. It has a light amber color, the aroma is an intoxicating exotic floral aroma with a hint of fruit. The taste is silky creamy, slightly spicy with hints of chocolate, nuts, mocha, caramel, honey and raisins, with a hint of ginger in the finish.
