The lid proudly displays a high-relief "Takamakie" depiction of a woman clothed in a "Jūnihitoe," an opulent twelve-layer robe once worn by noblewomen, indicating the high status of this piece. The scene is set against the Nashiji background and is adorned with radiant mother-of-pearl inlay, further accentuating the delicate beauty of the design.
